Are Your Consultants ATS Friendly?

We often tell our customers that 75% of large companies use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).1

However, sometimes we are met with “what is an ATS system?” from many of our customers’ consultants. This troubles us.

Hiring has changed. Employers now rely on Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to screen a higher volume of candidates while lowering administrative costs for their companies.

In fact – 70% of resumes submitted to job boards are never even read by a human during the application process. Over 98% of Fortune 500 companies report using ATS to screen candidates.2

Your Consultants Need To Be ATS Friendly

If your company works with job seekers and helps them prepare their resumes it is imperative that your consultants understand how ATS work. In working with job seekers they must be able to explain to job seekers how an ATS works, and why it is important that they build a resume that is ATS friendly.

ATS friendly resumes have the following characteristics:

  • No images or fancy graphics
  • No abbreviations
  • Alignment with job posting (most important)
